None of this "New Year, New Me" Crap

Every year, people always say the same thing "this year is gonna be different", "new year, new me" and "this year, my new year's resolution is.......". Just stop. This might sound a little harsh, but just because it's a new year doesn't mean anything is gonna be different and most will fail their new year’s resolutions come February or March time. All it's gonna lead to is misery when things don't change or when more of you fail your new year’s resolution. So save yourself the grief and just don't do it.

If you really want things to change or if you really want to improve yourself with a resolution, why wait for new year’s, make it happen now. It's within your power to make it happen and to make things better. And don't do it just because it's new year’s, do it because you really want it to happen, then you'll be more likely to succeed. And if you do slip up and fail, don't beat yourself up over it and don't give up on it. Just because you failed once doesn't mean you have to keep repeating that failure. Pick yourself up, carry on and use that failure to motivate you on onto your final success.

So to those of you considering doing a new year’s resolution or wishing the coming year to be better than the last, don't simply wish for it and hope for the best, make it happen and start making it happen now. It's within your power to do so if you really want it. And if you do fail, don't give up, get over it and use it to fuel your final success.

I'll end this by simply saying good luck and make it count.
